METHOD, IN THIRTY SECONDS

Each house holds a territory per category it operates as a house-run luxury business. Territory area is desire scaled by revenue: annual revenue weighted by a Desire Index from 1 to 10, an editorial score of how actively the house generates desire today. A mass giant can out-earn a cult house and still hold a smaller flame. Houses spanning fashion, jewelry, beauty and watches appear once per category, with a category-specific style profile.

Figures in USD, converted at early September 2026 rates. Where a division is not disclosed, sizing is an editorial placement and labeled as such.

Sources, in order: company filings and results announcements first (Hermès, Chanel, Kering for Gucci, Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta, Prada Group for Prada, Miu Miu and Versace, Laopu Gold, Chow Tai Fook, Mao Geping and other filers). Named analyst estimates where groups do not disclose by brand: TD Cowen proportions of LVMH's reported Fashion and Leather Goods division for Louis Vuitton and Dior, widely cited analyst estimates for Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, Morgan Stanley and LuxeConsult industry estimates for the Swiss watch houses, BeautyMatter for Florasis, press reporting for ICICLE and Songmont. Everything else is an editorial placement.

All 14-axis profiles and Desire Index values are the analyst's judgement on one dated scale, validated September 2026. The atlas is revised continuously: a territory moves when the market moves, whether that is a result, a creative director, a price decision, a campaign or a queue. Every revision is dated, and the revision note states what moved. The four engines run within one category, on all 14 axes, under the active lens. White space is computed across the full 14-axis space. The number proposes. The editor decides.
